SAVAGE LOVELY CORNISH HOMES

Savage Lovely Cornish Homes was written by Xan Brooks and commissioned by Falmouth University in partnership with National Trust Publications. In February 2019 I went walking with my partner and our lurcher, Tika, down through the Penrose Estate and to Loe Bar, where the story is set.

My illustrations depict our walk and the details I observed with the 1st draft of the story fresh in my mind. My first home was near Loe in Burras so it was a wonderful moment to find I'd been chosen for this commission from the many talented artists who applied.
